This paper retraces the experience of making the short film Matchpoint (Italy, 2016) ten years after its release, using this experience of community cinema as a pretext for a broader reflection on the role of the Sri Lankan community in the urban development of the city of Naples, on artistic research as a collaborative practice, and on the role of play as a driver of urban development.
