Abstract

The advent of generative models demands a rethinking of the paradigm of “filmmaking,” marking, within this third digital revolution, the onset of the closure of the “Lumière parenthesis”. This contribution investigates the tensions and negotiations between autarchic creative control and algorithmic co-authorship, also exploring, through real case studies, the post-medial aesthetic possibilities unleashed by hybrid dialogic confrontation, in which the mimesis of reality gives way to the hallucinations of latent space.
